Livingston County Democrats will celebrate our nation’s birthday on July 4 in real flag-waving style.
We will participate in three parades around the county on Tuesday.
We’ll kick off the day with the parade in downtown Brighton. We will meet at 9:30 a.m. just off Main Street, on Church Street, in front of the Brighton Education and Community Center. Look for our red, white, and blue donkey float and a 1954 antique police car.
We will have flags for you to wave. Please wear red, white, and blue or your Livingston County Democrats’ tee-shirt. This will be a great chance for you to wave at all your Republican neighbors!
The parade begins at 10 a.m. and will be over by 11 a.m. so you can still be home in time for your backyard barbecue plans.
We also will participate in the Gregory parade at noon and the Fowlerville parade at 7 p.m.
Adam Dreher, a candidate for the Democratic nomination for the 22nd State Senate seat, will participate in all three parades, too. Look for a red Studebaker pickup with his signs.
